Beyond Classrooms, LLC was built on one belief: that a student's zip code, housing situation, background, or life circumstance should never determine the quality of education, mentorship, or support they receive.
Founded by Dr. S. Brown, a Doctor of Education with a background in ethics, leadership, culturally responsive pedagogy, and youth advocacy. Beyond Classrooms exists to extend learning beyond four walls and create safe, empowering spaces where young people can thrive academically, emotionally, socially, and personally.
Dr. Brown brings experience as a K–12 teacher, school administrator, Instructional Coach, ELD Coordinator, Restorative Justice Coordinator, and adjunct professor. Her work across multiple educational settings has centered on equity, relationship-building, student empowerment, and creating meaningful learning experiences for underserved youth.
We believe education is more than grades and test scores. It is about building confidence, leadership, critical thinking, self-worth, and opportunity. Through mentorship programs, leadership development, literacy support, and community-centered learning experiences, Beyond Classrooms is committed to uplifting underserved youth and ensuring every child feels seen, heard, valued, and capable of success.
